Pin-sharp Photo Contest offered by Photocrowd

Photocrowd is launching a photo contest, in association with PhotoPlus, on the theme of "Pin-sharp", as each and everyone interested in creative photography is invited to take part in this contest.

In this Canon-only contest we want to see your best photographs that fit our theme ‘pin-sharp’. We’re open to different genres from wildlife to landscapes, still life to portraits and everything in-between, the main emphasis is that your shots are razor sharp! You can still use a shallow depth of field for effect but the focal point, such as a model’s eye, must be perfectly in focus and free from camera-shake and subject movement. The judge's top pictures will appear in PhotoPlus magazine with our judge's top choice taking home a Joby GorillaPod 3K tripod and ball head kit.

The winner will receive a Manfrotto PIXI EVO miniature tripod worth £52.95. Compatible with lightweight DSLRs and mirrorless cameras the PIXI EVO can handle up to 2.5kg of equipment and has two leg angles for extra stability on uneven ground. It's ideal for photographers who love to travel light or even looking for a nifty option to mount your flashguns off-camera. The judge's top ten images will also feature in a future issue of PhotoPlus magazine.

DO:

1. Ensure your photo was taken on a Canon camera. 
2. Have EXIF data in your photo (or supply the camera settings in the info section).
3. Provide a title for your photo. Write a description of the photo you're entering of at least 50 words to give us the background of what the image is of and how it was taken. A little context can go a long way! 
4. Check your photo has a resolution of at least 3000 pixels on the longest edge of the photo as we will be printing our top picks in PhotoPlus: the Canon magazine.

DO NOT:

1.  Have a watermark on your photograph. 
2. Supply images taken on camera systems other than Canon. Submit low-resolution pics

How it works:

This contest is expert judged only with no rating by the crowd. You will be able to find out how you did when the judging or rating period has closed.
