The Community Development Authority, in cooperation with the Ataa Hamdan Volunteer Team, is pleased to launch a volunteer opportunity with the Arts and Culture Authority, which is being held under the title; Sikka Art and Design Festival, from 15 to 27/3/2022 in Al Fahidi District - Dubai.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Effective communication and participation during the event period from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Eligibility criteria
You must follow the following terms:
- The opportunity is available to fifty volunteers.
- To be registered with the Authority.
- The agreement between you and the volunteer organization is valid.
- That you have received adequate training, and that your volunteer work does not exceed the work you have trained upon.
- That the Volunteer Work you undertake is in good faith, with the aim of carrying out the Volunteer Work specified in the Volunteering Agreement, and not to receive any reward or personal benefit.
- There shall not be any kind of negligence or error on your part.
- The volunteer agreement ends in any of the following cases:
- The end of the Volunteer Work or the expiration of the Volunteer Agreement term.
- One of the parties to the Volunteer Agreement notifies the other party of its desire to terminate the Volunteering Agreement while it is still in force, provided that such notification is in writing and takes place within a reasonable period before the expiry of the period specified in the Volunteer Agreement.
- A breach by one of the parties to the agreement of its obligations stipulated in the volunteering agreement.
- Death or illness that prevents you from doing volunteer work.
Volunteer Perks:
- Certificates of Appreciation for volunteer hours.
- Volunteer hours approved by the Community Development Authority.
- Exemption from civil and penal liability to the same extent enjoyed by the employee of the entity.
About the Community Development Authority(CDA):
The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans. It is in charge of the overall supervision to achieve social sector outputs, and provide the provisions of social services in order to create an integrated and efficient management system for the development of social services in the emirate. This includes the preparation, execution, and supervision of comprehensive strategic plans, and proposing legislation related to social services to improve the outputs of the social development sector.
