UNV offers a volunteer opportunity and announces its need for 3 online volunteers who will work under the guidance of the U-TEST Knowledge Management Consultant to design/produce 3 visual and interactive factsheets for the project for UNICEF Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, and Nigeria country offices. Information, education, and communications material are essential tools in creating awareness about a project and documenting the efforts for institutional memory, and promoting learning through experience. You will be provided with the content (text, data, and photos) for each factsheet, guidance on the target audience, and brand guidelines.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Designing a user-friendly template for the factsheet which will be uniform for all three countries with minor adjustments in the logos. The template will be utilized by the team for future production of the factsheet.
- Create a draft design for the factsheets based on requirements and discuss with the focal point.
- Converting some of the specified data and text into visual content through info graphs, tables, and doodles to simplify the information.
- Developing the final design for the factsheet according to agreed requirements and adding content from each country to complete the product.
- The design/layout should follow the brand guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- A degree in graphic design or a related field.
- Professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material on development issues.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
