The Advanced Mechanical Engineering Professor’s Scholarship for Master’s Students from Cranfield University

Cranfield University is offering the Advanced Mechanical Engineering Professor’s Scholarship. This scholarship is only available to one truly exceptional candidate and has been designed to equip them for their journey towards making a significant contribution to mechanical engineering in the energy industries. The student will work closely with Cranfield’s industrial partners on real-world problems and provide solutions to help meet the UK and global targets related to sustainable energy production and use. Where possible, an industrial mentor will closely shadow them throughout their studies, offering guidance and advice. Applications are open to all high caliber students accepted to study on the MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering in 2021/2022 on a full-time basis.

• The funding value is £10,750 (for overseas students) towards tuition fee (about 50% fee bursary).
• The team of industrial partners and Cranfield academic staff will give you the skills and knowledge you will need to keep you clearly focussed on the application of mechanical engineering within the energy industries.

• Home or Overseas students eligible. Must have a very good first degree in an appropriate science or engineering subject.
• A UK first or second class honours degree in a relevant subject area or an equivalent international qualification (find out whether your qualification meets Cranfield University’s requirements by visiting its International Student page).
• Relevant work experience in combination with a degree below second class honours.
• If you do not meet the formal entry requirements, but still feel you can demonstrate the ability to complete the course successfully, you may still be accepted onto a course. Each application will be considered on its merits.
• To study for a formal award at Cranfield you will need to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively in English in an academic environment. You can prove that through one of the credible tests as following:
• IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all skill components.
• TOEFL iBT: 92 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing.
• PTE Academic: 65 overall and 59 in all skill components.
• Cambridge Assessment English tests: Cambridge English Scale score of 180 overall and 160 in all skill components.
• Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English III: Pass.
• Some courses may have additional entry requirements, so please check the specific course you are interested in before submitting your application.
