Opportunity description
EUROSUD invites both scholars from degree-awarding and associate partners of the EUROSUD consortium, as well as scholars from an organisation outside the consortium to scholarships chance; The EUROSUD Visiting Scholarships. These Scholarships provide mobility funding to scholars and/or guest lecturers to undertake a visit of up to three days at one of the five EUROSUD consortium institutions.
Benefits
If you get this scholarship, you will have:
- Actual travel (economy class).
- Accommodation costs.
- Plus a subsistence allowance of up to €35 per day.
- The host university will provide office space.
Please note:
- the University of Glasgow will arrange all travel and accommodation needs.
- Scholars’ visits may not be additionally funded by other EU funds.
Eligibility criteria
You must follow the following criteria:
- Demonstrate outstanding academic and/or professional experience in a relevant field.
- Bring concrete added value to the EUROSUD program and the partner institution in terms of student-centered teaching/lecturing, research activities, Master thesis support, academic/professional networking, etc.
- Contribute to the promotion and dissemination of the Erasmus Mundus Program in general, and the EUROSUD program in particular, in their university and country of origin.
- Provide a short report/testimonial for use on the EUROSUD website and for inclusion in reports to the EACEA.
- Priority will be given to applicants who wish to work on a joint research funding application/project or joint publication in collaboration with academic(s) within the EUROSUD partner institutions and specifically at the host university where the scholarship will be carried out.
- Applicants should identify relevant staff and outline proposed collaboration in the application.

Duration for visits:
Applications can be considered for visits from one day up to three days at the chosen institution during the mobility period where EUROSUD students are in attendance. These periods are the following:
- University of Glasgow: October-December.
- National and Kapodistrian University of Athens: October-June.
- Autonomous University of Madrid: October-June.
- LUISS Guido Carli: October-December.
- Aix-Marseille University: October-January.

The International Master in South European Studies (EUROSUD) offers you the unique opportunity to engage in the multi-disciplinary study of the South European region with six partners over two years and gain a jointly awarded Master's degree or a double Master's degree, depending on the combination of three degree-awarding partners. It is recognized by the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD).
