ESCWA announces its third annual conference entitled “Towards an Arab region with digital access for all,” which will be held in Morocco from 28 to 30 November 2023. Information and communications technology and digital access have an essential role in achieving a technology-led society that leaves no one behind. The means that allow achieving digital empowerment and inclusion in the Arab region are to design technology, its services, applications and platforms in a way that takes into account the requirements of all individuals, regardless of their age, gender, abilities, or where they are located.

- Increasing awareness, exchanging ideas and experiences, and enhancing opportunities for communication and networking between male and female participants.
- Developing knowledge, building capacities, and presenting successful practices in enhancing the participation of persons with disabilities in planning and designing appropriate solutions.

Eligibility criteria
The conference focuses on initiatives that ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities through the implementation of various policies and strategies and redirecting resources in a manner that takes into account the guiding principles of the Sustainable Development Goals, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the United Nations Strategy for Disability Inclusion, and other relevant international instruments.
