Brigham Young University (BYU) offers special needs scholarships for international single students 18 years of age or older with a chronic physical impairment, disability, medical or mental condition, limitation, or illness who maintain a 2.7 GPA. The scholarship may be used for any BYU Independent Study course.

Eligibility criteria
You must meet the following criteria:
- single (unmarried) status.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or an international student residing outside of the U.S. or U.S. territories.
- 18 years of age or older.
- a chronic physical impairment, disability, medical or mental condition, limitation, or illness.
- 2.7 GPA or higher.
- experience taking independent educational courses.
- succinct, clear writing on the application.
- GPA requirements.
