Varsity Film Expo announces its 2022 essay contest. This year's theme will be an essay on an animated film covering the issue of sustainable development in Africa. In this competition, the Varsity Film Expo challenges African university students to use their writing skills to write essays that expand the knowledge framework, stimulate critical thinking and foster theoretical debate on the topic of the competition.
Benefits
Selected essays will be published as well as the winners will receive the following:
- The first winner will receive 1000$.
- The 2nd winner will receive 500$.
- The 3rd winner will receive 200$.
Eligibility criteria
- The competition's theme uses film to motivate action toward Sustainable Development Goals in Africa.
- Your essay should be at least 1000 words but should not exceed 1250 words.
- The contest is open to any African university student.
- Only one essay entry may be submitted per contestant.
- Essays must be original and unpublished.
- The essay must be written in English.
- There is no entry or application fee to the essay contest.
