Volunteer in Congo with UN Volunteers: Logistics Officer

United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Congo: Logistics Officer.

Duration:

12 months (with possibility of extension)

• Conduct accurate inventory performance analysis using the following metrics: service levels, forecast calculations, unusual usage, safety/contingency stock calculator, minimum/maximum analysis, excess inventory analysis
• Manage analysis and performance monitoring of the effectiveness and execution of asset control procedures
• Ensure accountability and proper tracking mechanisms to meet the expected organizational standards and goals
• Verify the accuracy of the data recorded/updated in the assets control system
• Monitor and verify accuracy of inventory data captured in the Inventory Management System (SAP/UMOJA)
• Monitor the Inventory Management System to ensure that all non-expendable items that have been received are entered and all records are updated 
• Liaise with asset holders to resolve problems, when required;
• Monitor the material in the Integrated Warehouse
• Perform any other related task as required by the supervisor.

• Age: 27 - 80
• Nationality: Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment.
• Required experience: 3 years of experience in Warehouse environment, property control work, inventory management assignments,
• Area(s) of expertise: Logistics and Inventory, Logistics and Inventory
• Languages:

1. English, Level: Fluent, Required
2. French, Level: Working knowledge, Desirable

• Required education level: Bachelor degree or equivalent in Logistics, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Business Administration, OR any other related field.
