United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Jordan: Public Health Associate.
Duration:
- Expected start date: 01/05/2023
- Expected end date: 30/09/2024

Duties & responsibilities
- Contribute to and implement the capacity building activities related to strengthening the national immunization programme.
- Support planning, monitoring, and implementation of the national communication strategy.
- Support the activities surrounding vaccine preventable diseases, tuberculosis, and HIV control.Participate in the
- development of core document related to the national immunization program including standard operating procedures, guidelines, and manuals.
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 18 - 26
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 1 up to 3 years communicable diseases, immunization, or other relevant area.
- Knowledge of the Jordanian health system with particular emphasis on communicable diseases, immunization and vaccine preventable diseases.
- Excellent oral and written skills in Arabic and English
- Reporting skills
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
- Proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
Languages:
- Arabic, Level: Fluent, Required

Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Public Health, health field/ health-related specialties, or any relevant areas
