United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Sudan: Data Entry Operator.
Duration:
12 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Assist in data management of Spare Parts inventory of Heavy and Light vehicles in softwares used by the organization.
- Should be able to use software like SAP/Umoja
- Keep accurate electronic records and maintain archive secured and in order
- Assist in ensuring that electronic records are maintained for transport
- Provides competent administrative and managerial support to the Transport Unit.
- Assist with the preparation and management of the Transport Section’s budget
- Performs any other tasks that maybe required.
Eligibility criteria
- Age: 27 - 80
- Nationality: Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment.
- Required experience: 3 years of experience in usage of computer softwares/ inventory management.
- Area(s) of expertise: Transport, Information technology
- Languages: English, Level: Fluent, Desirable
- Required education level:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in First level university degree / in computer software / IT studies is required.
- In the absence of first level university degree, diploma of 1 year in computer software studies after completion of high school certificate is required.
- Skills:
- Diplomacy and tact to deal with clients
- High degree of autonomy, personal initiative
- Willingness to accept wide responsibilities and ability to work independently
- Teamwork and respect for diversity
- Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and harmonious working relations in a multi-cultural
- Ability to achieve common goals and provide guidance or training to colleagues.
- Good spoken and written communication skills
