UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity to conduct qualitative data analysis on MHPSS chatbot solutions

Several innovation initiatives have been designed in various countries and regions to address barriers to availability, acceptability, and accessibility of quality mental health and psychosocial support services. The solutions under focus are: i) East African Child Helpline MHPSS Chatbot Initiative in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, ii) Leveraging the power of social media to promote awareness and access to mental and psychosocial health services - teleMHealth in Nepal, and iii) Improving Children´s and Youth´s Mental Health through New Technologies (NewTech4MHPSS) in Mexico, Brazil, and Guatemala. A review is being conducted to assess the implementation of these solutions. with the objective is to document learning from these three ongoing MHPSS solutions and assess their feasibility of global acceleration/scale-up. 

Volunteer duration and working hours:

11-15 hours per week for 1 week.

Duties & responsibilities

We are looking for 1 Online Volunteers who under the guidance of Innovation manager to support our project team with conducting a qualitative data analysis. The Online Volunteer will be responsible for: - Discuss and consolidate indicators and datasets for the analysis exercise - Collecting data on existing chatbot solutions, - Validating data against existing information, organizing data according to existing frameworks. The Online Volunteer will be provided with datasets to conduct the analysis and is required to update on the progress during regular calls.

Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates should have advanced computer skills and proficiency in excel software. Strong analytical and writing skills as well as ability to provide and present data in a concise manner is required.
  • English, Level: Fluent, Required
