Volunteer Online with UN: Research Sewing and Shoemaking Hardware Donors.

UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as

GLOWA is developing a long term recovery program for survivors of trafficking in Bamenda. This program has developed a sewing program for survivors that needs support with sewing equipment to effectively start-up.

GLOWA is a counter trafficking organization that has been providing vocational rehabilitation services to rescued victims of trafficking by placing them with external trainers for training. A recent evaluation of the program identified many shortcomings with the system of placing trainees with external trainers and strongly recommended the setting up of a customized GLOWA owned vocational training center In respond to this recommendation, GLOWA is developing customized modules for the vocational training program.

Volunteer duration and working hours:

1-5 hours per week for 8 weeks.

In this regard, we need the services of volunteer(s) to research on potential donors for motorized and manual sewing machines, zigzag and embroidery machines and other sewing training equipment. The volunteer(s) shall be provided all necessary information on the process by the project team at GLOWA

1. The volunteer should have an acceptable matersy of online research tools and ability to write and editing strong letters of inquiry
2. Required languages: English.
