UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as The Development, Economic, and Social Issues Branch (DESIB) of OHCHR is currently looking for 6 Online Volunteers with experience in Marketing campaigns to develop a campaign strategy for human rights initiatives of the branch.
The background of the project is linked to the Secretary-General's vision of the 'new social contract' and his Call to Action for Human Rights, which compels the UN system to think and act differently and seize the generational opportunity to build a more equal and sustainable world by supporting the Member States and partners to place human rights front and center in recovery efforts and development strategies.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
6-10 hours per week for 21 weeks.
Duties & responsibilities
The main tasks will be conducting market research of national and international campaigns, identifying best practices, target audiences and key messages, providing creative ideas and conceptualizing campaign strategies within human rights sphere that will facilitate laying the ground base for a global campaign to present it to the communication team.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates should have experience with marketing research, campaign strategies and have the ability to present verbal and written information to different audiences in a coherent and concise manner, high level of writing skills, good computer literacy and IT skills.
- Graphic skill are an asset.
- Required language: English. Other official UN Language is an asset
