Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers Program offers a volunteer opportunity in South Sudan as a Business Analysis Assistant.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and implementing the department's business plan in the part related to business analytics in the first place, and enterprise risk management in the second place.
- Assisting in the preparation of various analysis reports and presentations on the provision of strategic services, which include data collection and analysis, identification of various gaps and problems, and data analysis as a basis for making sound policies.
- Support the planning and implementation of various data collection methods, including conducting online surveys, designing questionnaires, and reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting their results; Identifying various problems and issues and preparing recommendations that will improve service delivery.
- Assist in the design and development of business analytics dashboards and related tools.
- Monitor and analyze risks in the risk register.
- Support follow-up actions as required by business analytics and analytical reports, monitoring and risk assessment, focusing on remedial actions to be taken by relevant departments, and/or policies to be adopted by senior management.
- Participate in meetings and educational activities related to business analytics and enterprise risk management.
- Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Be between 27 and 80 years old.
- Be a national of any country other than the country of appointment.
- 3 years of experience in business and data analytics, including developing business intelligence requirements and data transformation.
- Experience in business administration, and information technology.
- Driving license for cars with manual transmission.
- Proficiency in English.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business analysis, data science, management information systems, computer science, or any related field.

- Teamwork skills.
