Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers Program announces a volunteer opportunity as a Migrant Protection Assistant (Caseworker) in Egypt.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Conduct interviews with potential victims and vulnerable migrants to record their information.
- Coordinating the assistance provided to each of the beneficiaries.
- Preparing case management reports for each beneficiary on a regular basis.
- Ensure appropriate management of beneficiary data, including entering data into IOM databases on requested assistance.
- Prepare statistics, reports and analyzes as required.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all beneficiaries.
- Carrying out other duties assigned to you.
- Carrying out the official trips required of you.
- Conducted 120 interviews with potential victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants to record their information.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Be between 18 and 80 years old.
- Be a citizen or legal resident of the country of opportunity.
- 3 years of experience working with governmental and diplomatic agencies as well as with international organizations.
- Excellent knowledge of word processing and writing skills in English and Arabic.
- Experience working on Excel and databases.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Arabic.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited academic institution, preferably in the field of social sciences, psychology, business administration, or any related field.
- Professionalism and integrity in work.
- Teamwork skills and respect for diversity.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Planning and organization skills.
- Flexibility at work.
