KIWW invites anyone (as an individual or on behalf of an organization) who is interested in water to participate in a competition; World Water Challenge 2021. It is an international contest for water solutions, that has been annually held in conjunction with the Korea International Water Week(KIWW), aiming to identify imminent water problems that the world is facing and to find feasible solutions to them. This 6th edition of the World Water Challenge is expected to serve its role as an important platform to share not only innovative scientific/technological methods but also policy towards solving the defined water challenges around the world and to forge a broad network among the experts and stakeholders in the water sector as well as the diverse pool of solution providers.

- The best prize: 8.400 USD.
- Outstanding prize: 4.200 USD.
- Winners will have the chance to be invited to the WWCH showcase during the KIWW 2022 and/or the 9th World Water Forum to share their solutions with experts from all around the world.
Eligibility criteria
You should follow the following criteria:
- Anyone (as an individual or on behalf of an organization) who is interested in contributing to resolving water-related challenges with creative/applicable solutions.
- Persons (including winners) who participated once (and more) in the previous WWCH are allowed to participate in the WWHC 2021 with the different (or updated) subjects and ideas.
- The email submission will not be considered.
- Solution proposals must be filled out only in English.
- One person (or organization) can submit more than one proposal with different solutions.

Please note: Submitted solution proposals will be evaluated by the expert committee in accordance with the evaluation criteria and up to 10 selected solution providers will be invited to the final round during the KIWW 2021.
About KIWW:
Korea International Water Week (KIWW), its main theme is Sustainable Water Management for Humans and Nature. It is organized by Korea Water Forum (KWF) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 aims to provide a platform to address global water issues and raise awareness on water-related technologies and policies by bridging relevant water stakeholders around the globe. KIWW is jointly hosted by KWF, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, the Ministry of Environment, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Daegu Metropolitan City, and K-water.
