Tashkeel is pleased to offer a workshop for the citizens of the UAE entitled; Painting with Grisaille, with artist James Razko who will help everyone progress from drawing to painting, by learning a great and distinct technique. Grisaille is a painting executed entirely in monochrome, which in French means "grey", and originated as an underpainting technique for Old Master Paintings. This workshop is a great opportunity for you to learn a new approach designed to develop your painting in an organized way by working with only one color and making one decision at a time.

About Trainer:
James Razko is a Brooklyn-based artist. He earned his Master of Fine Arts degree at the New York Academy of Art in 2015. During his time at the Academy, he received the Academy Scholarship, the New Jersey Heart of a Hero Scholarship, was awarded a summer residency in Moscow, Russia, and was one of six nominated for the Chubb Fellowship. His work is published in the acclaimed book, The Figure. In 2018, Razko received a grant from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.

- The work program provides tonal principles and paint-handling skills.
- The participation fee is AED 235.00 (+VAT).
