The Elderly Nursing Home of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah invites you to participate in the field volunteer opportunity, “All in Dar Al Khair,” which aims to enhance the value of social cohesion and integration between the segments of society and elders residing in the nursing home. It provides individuals with the opportunity to communicate with the elderly residing in the home on Fridays, through presenting various programs that include: a poetry session - health awareness - cultural and heritage questions - learning professions - reading short stories, and others.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Sitting with the elderly residing in a nursing home “on the ground” and talking about various social topics 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Eligibility criteria
You must follow the following criteria:
- Participation requires field attendance at the nursing home in the Al-Juraina area on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Number of volunteer hours: 2 hours.
- Time period: In the evening.
- Participation is open to 50 volunteers.
- The program is available to both genders.
- The required age group is from 6 to 99 years.
