Volunteer English Teachers

Hi everyone! We are seeking certified English volunteer teachers or experienced tutors to offer small-groups and one-to-one lessons for Palestinians aged 15+ and adults for a minimum of three months. Each teacher will be matched with a Palestinian student for weekly 90-minute online sessions. Volunteer teachers should be proficient in English and able to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to their students’ level, needs and goals. Comprehensive trauma-informed training is provided to all volunteers before they start teaching. Students can follow structured pathways in General English, Academic English, Conversation and Storytelling. Volunteer flexibly and sustainably

Online lessons and a clear weekly structure make it easy to fit volunteering around work or study. A minimum three-month commitment ensures continuity for students while remaining realistic for volunteers.

Eligibility

Volunteers must be advanced/proficient in English. Teachers must either have a recognised qualification (such as CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent) or have extensive experience tutoring English. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Commitment

Volunteers are asked to commit for a minimum of three months, delivering one 90-minute online lesson per week. Consistency is essential, as students rely on regular sessions to make sustained progress.

Technical requirements

Volunteers must have access to a reliable internet connection, a suitable device for online teaching, and a quiet, private space to conduct lessons.
