Opportunity description

The Journal of Philosophy is offering a job opportunity for a freelance copy-editor to assist in preparing accepted articles for publication. The successful candidate will implement the same style in both main text and notes, check citations for correctness and completeness, and exercise careful judgment in tracking changes.

Requirements:

MS Word expertise required.
Experience in LaTeX.
Analytic philosophy strongly preferred.

About ACES:

Since 1999, the ACES Education Fund, a nonprofit organization, and its predecessor have awarded 99 scholarships to deserving students who have a passion for editing. The Walsh scholarship honors Bill Walsh, author, blogger and longtime copy editor at the Washington Post. Walsh, who died in early 2017, was an active and creative member of the ACES Education Fund board.

Job period:

This position will last from the present through around the end of the year.
