Opportunity description
The British Council is recruiting an experienced teacher to its headquarters in Kuwait City in its educational centers. The duration of this job is about two years initially, with the possibility of extending the contract period up to 4 years.
Eligibility:
- You should have high proficiency in English like full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to the user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of the 4 sections of the academic module.
- An Undergraduate degree only if required by local law.
- You must have a Cambridge Delta /Trinity Diploma in TESOL, or equivalent or evidence of intention to complete within a defined time frame of 12 months.
- British Council approved observer status or willingness to complete training within 6 months of taking up the post.
- An experienced teaching professional able to support less experienced colleagues in teaching practice and increase their quality of work. Equivalent to around 4 years of post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL teaching experience in teaching relevant age groups.
- Additional specialist qualifications such as PGCE/B.ED in Primary, YL Extension to CELTA, or IELTS examiner status.
- Experience in teaching.

- Classroom Management.
- Course & Lesson Planning.
- Subject Knowledge.
- Understanding your Learners.
- Learning Technologies.
- Learning & Behavior

Your Role:
- To plan and deliver high-quality EFL teaching to a range of learners and using a variety of methods/channels.
