Responsibilities:

• Through hard data analysis, sources, interviews, investigation or observation prepare relevant business content.
• Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a story.
• Coordinate logistics for productions or events.
• Establish and maintain relationships with credible sources.
• Edit written and video materials.
• Review and evaluate notes taken about news events to isolate pertinent facts and details.
• Analyze information obtained from news sources.
• Operate communications, transmissions, or broadcasting equipment to record and transmit stories.
• Agree with the political editor on stories, angles and areas of concentration.
• Develop ideas or material for columns or commentaries by analyzing and interpreting news, current issues, or personal experiences.
• Monitor current market trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in field reporting.
• Strong English language editing, writing and reporting skills.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Proven ability to reach relevant and credible sources.
• Proven knowledge of politics in the Middle East.
• Data analysis capabilities.
• Have relevant contacts.
• Have a strong knowledge of opinion writers.
• Word and Excel skills.
• An eye for detail along with critical thinking.
• Arabic speaking skills are an advantage.
