Opportunity description

IRC is offering an internship opportunity in New York, USA. The RAL Associate Intern will work to support the Research, Analysis, and Learning team. In this role, the intern will work on research, M&E and learning initiatives. She/he will work directly under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Director, Research, Analysis and Learning.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or coursework in international studies, social work, education, instructional design, research or a related field preferred.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision.
  3. Excellent, demonstrated skills in Office programs, multimedia programs a plus.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Intern duties:

  1. Support administration and implementation of learning initiatives.
  2. Prepare handouts, presentations and other resources for a virtual summit.
  3. Develop and post surveys.
  4. Create evaluation reports.
  5. Design informational and educational animations (training will be provided).
  6. Contribute to developing and maintaining M&E related training resources and communication materials.
  7. Assist with learning and informational materials related to RAI’s Research Agenda.
  8. Other tasks as assigned.

Learning objectives:

  1. The intern will gain in depth understanding of workforce technical training.
  2. The intern will develop skills in survey development and writing reports.
  3. The intern will gain insight into humanitarian research agendas.

Working environment:

In light of COVID-19 and the dynamic situation across the world, this internship will be a home-based, remote work assignment (instead of office-based).
