Duties & responsibilities
- Supporting research on agentic AI and multi-agent systems.
- Developing AI solutions using LangChain, CrewAI, and LangGraph.
- Assisting in building tools powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Supporting the development of RAG systems and vector databases.
- Preparing analytical reports and project summaries.
- Supporting the development of digital tools for sustainable development.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants can apply if they are:
- A Master’s student.
- Or in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Or a recent graduate within the last year.
Preferred fields of study include:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Econometrics or related fields
Applicants are also expected to have:
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with LLMs and AI Agents.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or LangGraph.
- Good command of English.
About the Internship
United Nations Development Programme offers a Generative AI Research Intern opportunity within the Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) in Turkey. The internship focuses on research and development of generative AI technologies and intelligent AI Agents to support the Sustainable Development Goals and address global challenges such as poverty, inequality, and digital inclusion.
The intern will work on:
- Developing solutions based on Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Supporting multi-agent systems and intelligent automation processes.
- Assisting in building tools using LangChain, CrewAI, and LangGraph.
- Developing RAG systems and vector databases.
- Preparing technical reports and AI-related development analyses.
The internship provides a practical opportunity to work within an international multicultural team and gain direct experience in Artificial Intelligence applications within United Nations projects, digital transformation, and international development. The internship is also conducted remotely from Istanbul for a period of 5 months.
