Duties & responsibilities
- Lead the development and automation of financial processes across UNDP.
- Design and implement digital transformation and artificial intelligence strategies within financial management functions.
- Develop financial reporting systems and enhance data quality, accuracy, and governance.
- Oversee projects aimed at improving accounting procedures and financial operations.
- Provide expert technical advice on complex financial, accounting, and compliance issues.
- Manage and supervise a specialized team responsible for financial systems and technologies.
- Support the implementation of the Fast Close Agenda to accelerate and streamline financial closing processes.
- Develop sustainable technology solutions that improve financial efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational performance.
Eligibility criteria
- A professionally recognized international accounting certification.
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may be considered if they possess additional relevant professional experience.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience for applicants holding a Master’s degree.
- At least 9 years of relevant professional experience for applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of managerial or leadership experience.
- Experience in financial auditing or consulting with international audit and advisory firms.
- Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) or IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle Fusion Cloud.
