The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is offering a paid volunteer opportunity for a Communication Assistant in Ankara, Türkiye. The selected volunteer will support the Communications and Advocacy team by contributing to digital content creation, social media management, event coordination, media monitoring, and reporting activities that strengthen UNICEF’s visibility and outreach in Türkiye.

Duties & responsibilities
- Support the creation of digital content and social media posts.
- Prepare human-interest stories, media materials, photos, and video content.
- Assist in organizing events, media visits, and partner field visits.
- Monitor and analyze digital performance and media coverage.
- Prepare reports and provide translation support between Turkish and English.
- Support communications archiving, knowledge management, and administrative processes related to communications activities.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least six months of experience in communications, media, or a related area.
- Fluency in both English and Turkish.
- Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office applications.
- Skills in visual content creation, photography, and video editing.
- Knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset.
- Open to Turkish citizens.
- Open to legal residents of Türkiye.
- Open to individuals with refugee status in Türkiye.
