Opportunity description

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and Save the Children, has announced an exciting consultancy opportunity within a regional project focused on protecting migrant children along the Central Mediterranean Route. The role aims to coordinate efforts between governments and international organizations while strengthening child protection systems and child-sensitive migration management.

The consultant will coordinate regional meetings and activities, prepare reports and studies, support the development of national action plans, and strengthen cooperation between international partners and governments to improve the protection of migrant children and ensure continuity of services and care across borders.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Coordinate collaboration between IOM, UNICEF, Save the Children, and government partners.
  • Organize regional meetings and prepare agendas and reports.
  • Prepare and review reports and studies related to the protection of migrant children.
  • Support the development of national action plans related to child protection and migration.
  • Coordinate logistics, events, and regional conferences.
  • Monitor quantitative and qualitative project reports.
  • Support knowledge management and communication between regional and international teams.


Eligibility criteria

  • Master’s degree in International Development, Human Rights, Sociology, International Law, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in government coordination and multi-stakeholder partnership management.
  • Experience in migration issues, child protection, and cross-border case management.
  • Excellent skills in reporting, analysis, and coordination.
  • Ability to work in multicultural and multi-partner environments.
  • Fluency in Arabic and French, while knowledge of English is considered an added advantage.
