Opportunity description
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Durable Solutions Expert for a consultancy assignment in Juba, South Sudan. The selected consultant will support programmes focused on displacement solutions and reintegration, conduct assessments and studies related to displaced populations, and strengthen coordination among government entities, UN agencies, and humanitarian partners to promote stability and recovery in South Sudan.

Duties & responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Durable Solutions Working Group (DSWG) for displaced populations.
- Conduct studies, assessments, and analyses related to durable solutions pathways and reintegration processes.
- Coordinate with government authorities, UN agencies, and partner organizations.
- Design and support integrated programmes and projects that promote recovery, social cohesion, and community stabilization.
Eligibility criteria
- Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with at least seven years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of six years of experience in durable solutions, displacement, recovery, reintegration, or related programmes.
- Experience in research, analysis, and the development of recommendations related to displacement and migration issues.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong stakeholder coordination, partnership-building, and communication skills.
