The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is offering a six-month internship opportunity within its Finance Unit in Beijing. This internship provides students and recent graduates with the opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting, financial management, and financial data analysis within an international working environment. The intern will assist with reviewing financial transactions, preparing reports, analyzing financial workflows, and supporting administrative and financial operations in accordance with United Nations regulations and financial standards.

Duties & responsibilities
- Review and process financial documents, accounting entries, and invoices.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analytical assessments.
- Analyze workflows within the Finance Unit and recommend process improvements.
- Monitor financial transactions, maintain records, and manage financial filing systems.
- Support financial dashboards and contribute to financial data analysis activities.
- Coordinate with United Nations agencies and various departments regarding financial transactions and related processes.
Eligibility criteria
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s programme, in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, or a recent graduate.
- Preference will be given to candidates specializing in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
- Experience with databases or data management tools is desirable.
- Fluency in Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
