A distinguished leadership opportunity as Head of Inclusion within schools under GEMS Education in Dubai. The role aims to build an inclusive learning environment that ensures the success of all students with diverse abilities and needs.
The position focuses on developing and implementing inclusion strategies to support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as well as gifted students, while overseeing individualized education plans and analyzing student progress to achieve the best academic and personal outcomes. It also involves leading a specialized team, training teachers on best practices in inclusive education, and ensuring alignment with educational quality standards in the UAE.
Duties & responsibilities
- Leading and developing the school’s inclusion strategy and policies
- Overseeing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
- Supporting teachers and implementing inclusive teaching strategies in the classroom
- Managing and training the learning support team to enhance their performance
- Communicating with parents and relevant stakeholders to ensure the best support for students
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification
- Strong experience in inclusive education or SEND
- Leadership experience in schools
- Knowledge of the UAE education system
- Strong leadership and communication skills
