Duties & responsibilities
- Represent IOM before the Kurdistan Regional Government, international stakeholders, and local partners.
- Manage the Sub-Office in Erbil and oversee administrative, financial, and human resources operations.
- Lead operational planning and coordinate the organization’s activities across the region.
- Supervise programs related to information management, cash-based interventions, infrastructure, research, and partnerships.
- Support the development of new programs and contribute to fundraising and resource mobilization efforts.
- Build and strengthen relationships with donors and strategic partners.
- Monitor operational risks and challenges and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment.
- Prepare operational and strategic reports, analyses, and briefings for management and partners.
Eligibility criteria
- Master’s degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field, with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 9 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in humanitarian, development, recovery, or stabilization programs.
- Demonstrated experience in managing field operations and multi-sector programs.
- Strong leadership skills, including team management and coordination with government authorities and donor organizations.
- Excellent strategic planning, project management, and international program management skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
- Knowledge of Arabic and/or Kurdish is considered an advantage.
