ICRC Operations Room Manager in Sudan 2026

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is seeking an Operations Room Manager based in Port Sudan. The selected candidate will manage the operations room on a 24/7 basis, oversee the monitoring of ground and air movements, analyze security risks, and help ensure the safety of staff and humanitarian operations across Sudan.

• Manage and monitor ground and air field movements on a 24/7 basis.
• Supervise a team of seven communications and operations room officers.
• Monitor security, tracking, and communication systems to ensure operational continuity.
• Prepare security reports and conduct threat and risk analysis.
• Support responses to security incidents, emergencies, and crisis situations.
• Coordinate communication between field teams and senior management.
• Manage emergency communication and alert systems.
• Conduct field visits and provide training on security and communication procedures.

• University degree or specialized technical qualification.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
• At least five years of experience in a similar role; or
• At least three years of experience in security analysis.
• Proven experience in incident management, crisis response, and working under pressure.
• Experience with communication systems, including HF/VHF radios and satellite communication equipment.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
