Opportunity description
Walt Disney offers an internship opportunity at the Field of Social Justice at USA. You will learn aspects of broadcast television and digital production skills, with a focus on video, audio, photography, writing and design for marketing, community engagement, and news content. You’ll work with other teams on various projects throughout the internship, including News, Programming, Sales.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- During first 30 days: Learn and connect. Understand the company's mission and learn the production workflow in order to contribute to content creation.
- By month three: Support content producers, assist on shoots and events, write copy for digital platforms.
- Ongoing: Lead and develop ideas with ABC7’s NextGen Youth Advisory Council.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Creating content on variety of social media platforms.
- Passion for storytelling.
- Be passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice issues/principles.
- Ability to engage the audience, both in person and on digital platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Video production and editing skills.
Required Education:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months.
Additional Information:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Be eligible to work in the US.
- This internship is both a remote and in-person internship.
- You must have a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
- Be available from May/June 2022 through early January 2023.
- Be available to work 20-24 hours per week.
- Be able to work in the San Francisco office and provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
