The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Egypt has opened applications for a Project Associate – Development and Reporting position based in Cairo within the Programme Support Unit.
The role focuses on supporting the development and design of new projects, report preparation, donor communication, and the collection of information related to programmes and projects implemented by IOM in Egypt. The selected candidate will also contribute to preparing proposals, interim and final reports, monitoring donor requirements, and supporting resource mobilization and funding efforts.
The position is suitable for candidates with backgrounds in Political and Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Relations, Migration, Development Studies, Human Rights, and Law, who have experience in project management, report and proposal writing, donor relations, or work in the development and humanitarian sectors.

Duties & responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Monitoring and understanding IOM Egypt programmes and projects, as well as their reporting requirements.
- Preparing reports, Concept Notes, and project proposals for donors.
- Contributing to the preparation of interim and final project reports in line with donor objectives, plans, and agreements.
- Reviewing the quality of reports and ensuring compliance with donor standards and IOM policies.
- Supporting project data and reporting management through the PRIMA system.
- Conducting desk research and preparing background information used in the development of project proposals.
- Monitoring donors, funding opportunities, and calls for proposals.
- Preparing communication and advocacy products such as messages, situation reports, briefs, newsletters, and monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Participating in field travel when required to support project implementation and monitoring.
- Assisting with contracts and the administrative, financial, and logistical requirements of projects and workshops.
- Updating project information in IOM’s internal systems.
- Attending meetings, events, and conferences and documenting key notes and outcomes.
Eligibility criteria

With at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

- Hold a high school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Experience
Applicants are preferably expected to have:
- Proven experience in project development and project management.
- Experience in technical writing, editing, and report preparation.
- Experience in donor relations and donor reporting.
- Knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) concepts.
- Experience in international development or humanitarian work.
