UNICEF is offering a job opportunity for a Finance Associate (G-6) at its office in Tunis, Tunisia, to support financial and accounting operations and ensure that transactions and reports are processed accurately and on time in accordance with the organization’s approved financial rules and procedures.
The role includes managing and monitoring financial records, payments, expenditures, bank reconciliations, budgets, and periodic reports, as well as verifying invoices and financial data, supporting audit and HACT processes, monitoring expenditures, and preparing cash forecasts. The Finance Associate will also coordinate with banks, staff members, experts, and consultants on various financial matters.
This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience in financial management, accounting, reporting, budgeting, auditing, and financial analysis, with fluency in French required.

Duties & responsibilities
Review invoices and financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
Manage financial records, reconciliations, payments, and expenditures.
Prepare periodic reports, as well as budget- and audit-related reports.
Support HACT processes, audits, cash forecasting, and expenditure monitoring.
Coordinate with banks, staff members, experts, and consultants on financial matters.
Eligibility criteria
A secondary school diploma in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, auditing, information systems, or a related field.
At least 6 years of professional experience in financial management, accounting, accounts payable and receivable, reporting, budgeting, auditing, bank reconciliations, or financial systems.
A bachelor’s degree may substitute for 3 years of the required experience, while a master’s degree may substitute for an additional 2 years.
Fluency in French is required.
Knowledge of another United Nations language or a local language is considered an advantage.
Strong skills in project management, collaboration, problem-solving, and digital tools.
