Sumerge is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Senior Staff System Admin to join the team in Cairo, Egypt. 1. Designs, builds, configures, and maintains Linux and related high-performance systems and storage on-premise and in the cloud.
2. Develops CI/CD pipelines for application stacks, Java and Node.js.
3. Ensures software security, prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
4. Maintains detailed documentation of system build and operational procedures.
5. Defines and sets development, test, release, update, and supports processes for DevOps operation.
6. Implements, maintains, and improves automation of infrastructures and systems.

1. From 4-5 years' experience in DevOps.
2. Previous hands-on experience with Linux Administration, Kubernetes Administration, VMware, and Docker.
3. Experience in monitoring and logging tools e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
4. Experience in automating and building cloud/on-premises environments using CICD tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Helm, Nexus, Azure DevOps, etc.
5. Strong scripting skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.
6. Strong understanding of Network fundamentals Networking Protocols, Firewalls, Load Balancing.
7. Experience with Large Scale Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Extra qualifications:

1. Experience with Configuration Management (Ansible).
2. Ability to build IaaC environments using Terraform or ARM.
3. Familiarity with REST APIs, and SOAP XML.
4. Familiarity with NodeJS, JSON, and Yaml.
5. Experience with Kubernetes Service Mesh (Istio).
