Opportunity description
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is offering an international opportunity with the Global Disability Fund (GDF) in New York City. The selected candidate will support international partnership management, donor engagement, research and analysis activities, and the coordination of programmes, events, and high-level meetings. The role also includes supporting the Fund’s executive management, organizing Board meetings, monitoring work plans, and strengthening collaboration with governments, international organizations, and organizations of persons with disabilities to advance inclusive development and disability inclusion worldwide.

Duties & responsibilities
- Support the development and management of partnerships and donor relationships.
- Conduct research and analysis on funding opportunities and international cooperation initiatives.
- Prepare briefing notes, correspondence, talking points, donor materials, and strategic communications.
- Monitor the implementation of the Fund’s annual work plan and contribute to reporting activities.
- Organize international meetings, events, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Executive Director.
- Coordinate Board meetings and follow up on the implementation of decisions and action points.
- Support procurement and contract management processes in accordance with United Nations policies and procedures.
Eligibility criteria
- Master’s degree in Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with additional relevant professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience (for Master’s degree holders) or 4 years of experience (for Bachelor’s degree holders) in international development, programme coordination, partnership management, or donor relations.
- Experience organizing high-level meetings, conferences, and international events.
- Experience with administrative procedures and procurement processes within large organizations.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of French or Spanish is considered an asset.
- Previous experience with the United Nations or other international organizations is highly desirable.
