Duties & responsibilities
The Physics Teacher will be responsible for:
- Teaching Physics in accordance with the National Curriculum for England.
- Preparing and delivering engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Using evidence-informed and research-based teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Assessing student performance and monitoring academic progress through a range of assessment methods.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages scientific thinking and inquiry.
- Collaborating effectively with teaching colleagues and school leadership to support student success.
- Participating in academic, extracurricular, and whole-school activities and events.
- Complying with school policies and maintaining the highest standards of student safeguarding, welfare, and child protection.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed.).
- Alternatively, hold a recognized teaching qualification such as:
- PGCE
- PGDE
- Or an equivalent qualification in Physics education
- Have experience teaching the British curriculum.
- Possess at least two years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in Physics.
- Have experience working within high-performing educational teams.
- Show a proven record of delivering outstanding teaching and achieving strong academic results.
- Be proficient in English at a level suitable for professional teaching.
- Obtain a valid DBS check or an equivalent security and background clearance before appointment.
