Our Own English High School – Sharjah (Girls), part of the GEMS Education network, has opened applications for a full-time Primary Arabic Teacher position in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

The school is seeking experienced teachers with strong knowledge of Arabic language instruction who can deliver an outstanding learning experience both inside and outside the classroom, build positive relationships with students and parents, and contribute to the development of the school’s educational environment.

Duties & responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Arabic Teacher include:

  1. Teaching Arabic to primary school students.
  2. Planning and delivering lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
  3. Assessing students’ performance and monitoring their academic progress.
  4. Using creative and interactive teaching methods.
  5. Providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
  6. Collaborating with colleagues and school leadership.
  7. Maintaining regular communication with parents regarding students’ progress.
  8. Participating in school activities and events.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language (mandatory).
  2. Have at least two years of experience teaching Arabic within the United Arab Emirates.
  3. Possess strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to use creative teaching methods both inside and outside the classroom.
  5. Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  6. Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Be proficient in using information technology to support teaching and learning.
  8. Be able to build positive relationships with students and parents.
