Opportunity description
UNICEF is offering a consultancy opportunity for a Regional Child Protection Case Management and Information Management Consultant within its Centre of Excellence based in Amman. The consultant will support UNICEF country offices, governments, and partner organizations across Eastern and Southern Africa in the development and implementation of Child Protection Information Management Systems (CPIMS+) and the strengthening of digital systems that support social services and the protection of children who are at risk or affected by violence, exploitation, abuse, and other protection concerns.

Duties & responsibilities
- Provide technical support to UNICEF offices and government counterparts in the implementation and use of the CPIMS+ system.
- Develop and adapt tools, methodologies, and procedures for child protection case management.
- Support the design of referral pathways and digital standard operating procedures for social service delivery.
- Develop data protection and information-sharing protocols to ensure the safe management of sensitive information.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and support compliance with data protection standards.
- Train social workers, government staff, and partner organizations on the use of digital case management systems.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of the Primero platform and other digital case management solutions.
- Strengthen coordination and collaboration among government entities, UNICEF offices, and humanitarian partners.
Eligibility criteria
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Child Protection, Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Work, Gender-Based Violence, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of child protection.
- Extensive experience in case management and information management systems within humanitarian and development settings.
- Practical experience implementing and supporting Primero or CPIMS+ systems.
- Strong knowledge of data protection, privacy, and information security principles.
- Experience in family tracing and reunification programmes for children.
- Proven experience in training and capacity building for social workers and child protection professionals.
- Experience working with governments, international organizations, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
