The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a Home-Based Technical Specialist to join its Sustainable Finance Hub. The selected candidate will support the TISFD initiative, which focuses on the disclosure of inequality-related risks, social impacts, and sustainability issues. The role involves conducting research and analysis, developing technical frameworks and guidance, and contributing to global efforts in sustainable finance and corporate sustainability.

Duties & responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainability, sustainable finance, and social impact issues.
- Develop and maintain knowledge resources, reference materials, and technical guidance for the initiative.
- Prepare technical reports, publications, and analytical papers.
- Build and manage research partnerships with academic institutions, experts, and relevant organizations.
- Support technical working groups and engage with international stakeholders.
- Monitor global developments in sustainability standards, ESG frameworks, and corporate disclosure practices.
Eligibility criteria
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Anthropology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with an additional two years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master’s degree, or seven years for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in corporate sustainability, sustainable finance, human rights and business, or related fields.
- Strong experience in quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, and evidence-based reporting.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
