The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is offering a job opportunity in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Syria, targeting applicants with technical or vocational education in Mechanical Engineering.

Duties & responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design and development of technical and vocational education and training programs and curricula.
- Contributing to the analysis of occupations, competencies, and skills within the relevant field.
- Preparing program profiles, learning guides, and training materials.
- Integrating modern and emerging technologies into educational programs.
- Preparing training venues, equipment, and required facilities.
- Developing comprehensive lesson and training plans.
- Monitoring learning activities in classrooms, laboratories, workshops, and workplaces.
- Supporting trainees with disabilities and special educational needs.
- Integrating occupational health and safety, life skills, and employability skills into training.
- Preparing theoretical and practical tests and assessments.
- Collecting and using labor market information to improve programs.
- Supporting the analysis of skills needs and gaps.
- Applying quality assurance tools and procedures.
- Contributing to digital and green transformation initiatives in technical and vocational education and training.
- Supporting synchronous and asynchronous training.
- Collaborating with trainers and faculty members while maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Have completed secondary school.
- Have completed two years of post-secondary technical education or training in Mechanical Engineering.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Be residing in Syria.
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of the duty station.
- Hold a valid work permit in Syria at the time of application.
