The Cambridge High School – Abu Dhabi, part of GEMS Education, is offering a temporary opportunity for an ICT Cover Teacher to provide maternity leave cover under a two-month contract.
The position is intended for experienced teachers who can deliver an outstanding learning experience within an international school environment. Responsibilities include teaching ICT, preparing interactive lessons, and supporting student learning through modern teaching methods. The school also offers a professional work environment that encourages creativity, professional development, and collaboration with students and parents.

Duties & responsibilities
- Teaching Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Preparing and delivering daily lesson plans.
- Creating an interactive and engaging learning environment.
- Assessing students’ performance and monitoring their academic progress.
- Integrating modern technologies into classroom instruction.
- Collaborating with the school team and academic leadership.
- Communicating with parents regarding students’ progress.
- Participating in school activities when required.
- Complying with the school’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Information Technology, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant field together with an accredited teaching qualification, such as a Teaching License System (TLS) credential or a teaching diploma.
- Have their academic qualifications attested and officially recognized in accordance with ADEK requirements.
- Provide an IELTS certificate or an official letter confirming that their university studies were conducted in English.
- Have at least two years of teaching experience.
- Demonstrate excellent computer skills.
- Possess strong communication skills when working with students and parents.
- Have a proven record of delivering high-quality education.
- Reside in Abu Dhabi and hold valid personal, spouse, or family sponsorship.
