The Interactive Open <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Online-Courses" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Online Course</a> &lsquo;Technology and Society&rsquo; invites students and youth from the Southern Mediterranean and Europe to explore the role that technology plays in our everyday lives and our societies. Participants will learn from, and with their peers in an interactive, intercultural, online environment and reflect on the societal changes that come with technological developments.&nbsp;<h3 dir="ltr">Eligibility:</h3><ol><li dir="ltr">The course is open to anyone between the age of 18-30 and is a resident in one of the <a href="https://europa.eu/youth/erasmusvirtual/qui-peut-participer_en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Erasmus+ programme countries</a> or Southern Mediterranean countries.</li><li dir="ltr">A basic level of Arabic language skills (B1/2 level) that enables the participant of basic conversations.</li><li dir="ltr">Have access to a computer with a webcam and microphone to participate in the online sessions.</li><li dir="ltr">Availability for the same 2-hours throughout the whole duration of this 6-week course, to participate in the online sessions.</li><li dir="ltr">Have 1-2 hours to invest in various assignments that support you explore the weekly topic.</li></ol><h3 dir="ltr">Learning Outcomes:</h3><ul><li dir="ltr">Knowledge:&nbsp;Students gain a multi-disciplinary understanding of the role that technology plays in modern society.&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr">Peer-learning: participants will have the opportunity not only to learn about the subject matter from experts but also engage in direct peer-learning by Virtual Exchange.</li><li dir="ltr">Cross-cultural competence: Participants build confidence in speaking honestly and respectfully on controversial and complex issues in a cross-cultural environment. Equally, they learn how to listen receptively and value different perspectives.&nbsp;</li><li>Technology:&nbsp;Gain experience in virtual communication and essential technical capabilities and expand their knowledge of the different technological applications available in different sectors.</li><li>Language:&nbsp;This course offers an opportunity to improve Arabic language skills for both native and non-native Arabic speakers. This course offers an opportunity to improve public speaking and build confidence for Arabic speakers with different levels.&nbsp;</li><li>Transversal skills: Our evaluation indicates that students who participate in Interactive Open online Courses develop a set of skills that are considered highly valuable to employment, academic achievement and personal growth.
