The Peter Porter Poetry Prize, recognized as one of Australia's most prestigious poetry awards, offers poets the opportunity to gain recognition and accolades. This initiative honors the life and work of the late Australian poet Peter Porter (1929-2010), a notable contributor to the "Australian Book Review".

Poets are invited to submit original poems written in English, not exceeding 60 lines in length, on any subject and in any style. Poems must not have been previously published.

Submissions must be made online via the "ABR" website, accompanied by an entry fee of AU$30, or AU$20 for current "ABR" subscribers. The winner will receive AU$6,000, while the other four shortlisted poets will each receive AU$1,000.
