AppsAfrica Innovation Awards announces its fifth edition of the annual competition for the best mobile and technology achievements for participants from across Africa. The competition is looking for the best innovations in the continent which falling under 14 different categories. Each of big companies, existing businesses and startups that have launched their services in at least one African market can submit to this competition. The competition continues to be a leading gauge of innovation across the continent and provides winners with a lot of industrial distinction, global publicity and connect with more than 300 industry peers at the award ceremony in Cape Town on November 11 on the eve of AfricaCom. The winners are also invited to attend the 3rd Africa Technology Summit in Kigali 2020 in order to join technology leaders, large companies and investors.

Eligibility:

To enter the competition, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Applicants can be start-ups or incorporated companies.
• Applications will be accepted from companies who have launched a product or service is at least one African market.
• If the service has not been launched at the time of judging it will be omitted.
• The product or service must address specific African needs as detailed within the specific category.
• The applicant’s innovation can be any product or service utilizing from any technology.
• Applicants must have launched the entry in at least one African market by the date of the competition.
• Applications must be specific and relevant to the category entered in.
• The applications are judged by an independent panel of judges whose decisions are final.

Prizes:

The winners will have the opportunity to attend the Awards party in Cape Town on the 11th of November on the eve of AfricaCom. Winners are also invited to the 3rd Africa Tech Summit Kigali 2020 to join tech leaders, corporates, startups, and investors.
