Film Freeway opened an application for Animex <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Awards</a>. It is an international competition focusing on student animations from around the globe. Animex invites you to enter your work, open to any style genre and technique of animation. This edition for 2022 is open to animations completed by students while studying at a recognized University or Tertiary level film school, including graduation films.The competition and film screenings are part of the 'Animex International <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Events-Festivals-and-Conferences" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Festival</a>&nbsp;of Animation and Computer Games', one of the largest festivals dedicated to animation and computer games in the <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/United-Kingdom" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">UK</a>. <ol><li> </li></ol>

<ol><li>All animation styles and techniques are eligible. Choose a competition category that suits your work and enter your animation in one category. Animex may also consider your entry in more than one award category.</li><li>Work in any category should be a self-contained short animation. Eligible maximum running time is up to 10 minutes duration.</li><li>Animations must be submitted individually and not within a compilation video.</li><li>You can submit as many films as you would like to enter the competition.</li><li>All student animations entered may also be considered for the other categories then you have submitted to. But you should submit your film to one category that is most applicable to the type of film.</li><li>Animex accepts digital video files for preview.</li><li>When you add the online screener please choose the option ‘Upload’.</li><li>Upload of a high-quality digital video file is preferred.</li><li>The preferred file formats are .mov or .mp4 using the compression codecs ProRes 422 or H.264.</li><li>The preferred resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels or 1080 x 720 pixels.</li><li>When you add the digital video file to FilmFreeway, it is recommended that you upload the best resolution version, if possible. You can upload a high-quality HD video file up to 10GB. This means that the selection panel and judges will be able to view the animation at the best quality to make the selections and awards.
