The Cleveland Foundation presents The Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards 2020, which recognizes outstanding works that contribute to a collective understanding of racism and human diversity. Now in its 84th year, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards continues to be the only American book award designed specifically to recognize works addressing issues of racism and diversity.
Eligibility:
- Fiction, poetry and nonfiction books.
- Books must be written in English and published and copyrighted in 2019.
- Only hard copies accepted.
- The following are NOT eligible for consideration:
- Plays.
- Screenplays.
- Works in progress.
- Manuscripts.
- Print-on-demand.
- Electronically published or e-books.
- Self-published works.
Note that: All submitted materials become the property of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards and will not be returned.
Awards:
- Award recipients traditionally receive $10,000 from the Anisfield-Wolf fund.
- Anisfield-Wolf winners receive their prize at a ceremony in Cleveland in September.
