Opportunity description
The American University in Cairo is offering funded English language fellowships for graduate students admitted to the TAFL program who need to enroll in remedial English language classes in order to satisfy the English-language graduate admission requirement at AUC. Students may enroll in the Department of English Language Instruction (ELI) full-time intensive program in the fall, spring or summer semesters or in one or more academic English for graduate modules.
Duration:
One semester or one summer session subject to renewable once upon review and satisfactory completion of the intermediate or advanced-level course.
Benefits
The fellowship covers 75 percent of the tuition for the Intensive English Program for fall, spring or summer semesters, or full tuition for up to three modules.
Eligibility criteria
- For new graduate degree-seeking students; satisfy AUC graduate admissions requirements to the TAFL program.
- Bachelor degree with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.
- Financial need.
